Welcome to the Mid Atlantic African Violet Society (MAAVS) web site. MAAVS is an association of persons with an interest in African violets and is affiliated with the African Violet Society of America (AVSA). Originally formed as a regional African Violet Society for the Middle Atlantic US States, MAAVS has no regional boundaries and now encompasses the Eastern half of the US. Come join us, all are welcome to grow and show and attend our annual Violet Convention, Show and Sale.
Content from previous MAAVS conventions and meetings will be added to this site as located, scanned and classified. You can help with this effort. MAAVS has a 21 year history but only the most recent years have been preserved on this website. If you have any materials "from the old days", please contact tom at maavs.org. Bob Loomis 1935-2012
It is with sadness that we report the death of long time MAAVS member Bob Loomis. Bob was a gentle person and friend to all who met him. He will be missed. Obituary.
